What Farm2Chef is
Local sourcing usually doesn't fail because nobody can find a farm. It stalls on the operational questions: volumes, pack sizes, documentation, cold chain, invoices. Farm2Chef organizes those questions into five readiness gates, gives farms a clear self-assessment and action list, and gives buyers a structured way to state their requirements — so a sourcing conversation can move toward practical next steps.
What Farm2Chef is not
Farm2Chef is not a certification service, an auditor, or a guarantee of procurement contracts. Readiness results are self-reported. We don't claim USDA approval or GAP certification, and we never present a farm as vetted or bookable without its own involvement and consent.
Who runs it
Travel Villa Kitchen is a Houston culinary company — cooking classes, farm dinners, chef education, and a chef co-operative — operated by VK Capital Ventures Inc. Farm2Chef grew out of that work: standing between Texas farms and the kitchens that want to buy from them, and seeing the same coordination gaps on both sides.
